Hampshire CAMHS are offering a free day of training on Suicide Prevention – Waterlooville
This is a one-day Hampshire CAMHS training event for anyone working with young people. The Waterlooville event will take place on Thursday, 11th June from 9am till 4.15pm at St Peter’s Catholic Primary School, Stakes Hill Road, Waterlooville, Hampshire, PO7 7BP

What is included?
This is a one-day training to enable Schools and Organisations to understand and to be confident in noticing and managing students that are possibly distressed/not coping/at risk. It would encourage and create School cultures of kindness, empathy and inclusion of everybody and of difference.
The event is open to anyone working with young people.

9.30 Welcome/Introduction & warm up exercise.
- Completion of the competency framework
- 3 dads walking video – a personal story
10.00 – 11.30 Understanding suicide and suicidal thinking
11.30 – 11.45 Coffee break
11.45 – 13.15 Safety planning and working together
13.15 – 14.00 Lunch (lunch not provided)
14.00 – 15.30 Creating a suicide & self-harm safer community in your school
15.30 – 16.00 ROMS and Q&A
