What is this about? 

Supporting young people in crisis – dealing with self-harm and suicide prevention.

Who is this for?

Schools, Social Services, GPs and youth organisations, Police, Paediatric and A&E Staff, etc.

Key note speaker: Dr Rachel Gibbons, Consultant Psychiatrist and Consultant Medical Psychotherapist – With over 20 years experience in the NHS, she has been working on suicide over the last 12 years. She was the Suicide Lead for Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health Trust, a founding member of the Haringey Suicide Prevention Group, and Clinical Lead for the London Transport Police Suicide Prevention Team.

Gwennan Harrison-Jones, Headteacher CAMS Hill School – The school experience of losing a young person to suicide, the aftermath, how the school has changed to make it suicide aware/creating open and caring cultures where young people feel safe to talk
